After one month of deployment, Pepco line workers and support staff, along with colleagues from Atlantic City Electric, Delmarva Power, BGE, ComEd, and PECO, who have been working long days to help restore power to the communities of Puerto Rico have returned.
The work our crews performed was difficult, but impactful and rewarding. Efforts were focused in the Caguas region – one of the hardest hit areas of Puerto Rico whose residents have been without power since September.
“It’s wonderful that we’re able to come down here and help Puerto Rico,” said Edward Haritty, journeyman lead lineman. “You can get a lot done and show everybody that you can all work together and be one big team and conquer everything… I’m very proud to be here.”
