We’re Planning Now to Provide Aid for the Winter Ahead

Financial struggles can make any winter feel even colder. That’s why Delmarva Power is working now to make sure low- and moderate-income customers have safe, reliable, and affordable energy this winter, and for years to come.

When our parent company, Pepco Holdings, merged with Exelon last year, we committed to expand our assistance to low- and moderate-income customers. This includes a total of $7.5 million to be directed at supporting Maryland residential customers in the Delmarva Power and Pepco regions.

As part of our promise, we recently provided $263,000 in benefits to residential customers in need across 10 counties in Maryland. We’re also partnering with the Salvation Army in Salisbury, Md., the Cecil Heating Assistance Program, and the Hartford County Community Action Agency to help customers in need manage their energy use and bills.

“We care about our customers and we’re proud to deliver on our promise to engage and support the diverse communities we serve,” said Gary Stockbridge, region president of Delmarva Power. “Delmarva Power has been a member of this community for more than 100 years, and we’re going to keep focusing on providing our customers with safe, reliable, and affordable service.”

While we don’t know what the temperatures this winter will be like, we do know that alongside our community partners, we can provide Maryland residents with power they can depend on.
